Archer partnered with creative agency Federation to launch the PR component of Safer Boating Week for client Maritime NZ. The campaign, “Kia Mataara – know the ways of the water before you let go of the land” encourages Kiwis to take safety precautions before they head out on the water this summer. Wear a lifejacket, carry two forms of waterproof communication and check the weather forecast. We pitched the launch as an exclusive to Seven Sharp, securing an opportunity to tell a kayaking survivor story, as they had been wearing lifejackets, modelling good behaviour and also a cross back to the Seven Sharp studio with Maritime NZ spokesperson, Matt Wood, who nailed al of his key messages.
